The dream team Scorsese and Dicaprio are teaming up again!


After Silence, the intense story about Catholic missionaries in Japan, Martin Scorsese is returning with two new projects. In 2018, he'll release The Irishman, a classic Scorsese mob flick with the obvious, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and even the crazy Joe Pesci. If that wasn't enough vintage Scorsese, the director will follow up that film with an adaptation of the true crime thriller Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI with frequent collaborator Leonardo DiCaprio (match made in heaven).

That's right. The dream team is back together for the first time since 2013's epic 'The Wolf of Wall Street', which was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director for Scorsese, and Best Actor for Leo.

Killers of the Flower Moon, written by The New Yorker's David Grann, follows the murders of members of the Osage Indian nation in Oklahoma in the 1920s after oil was discovered on their land. The mysterious deaths of the members of the tribe became one of the first major FBI homicide cases. As the book's synopsis reads, "In desperation, the young director, J. Edgar Hoover, turned to a former Texas Ranger named Tom White to unravel the mystery. White put together an undercover team, including one of the only American Indian agents in the bureau. The agents infiltrated the region, struggling to adopt the latest techniques of detection. Together with the Osage they began to expose one of the most chilling conspiracies in American history."

As Variety notes, the script is being adapted by Oscar-winning writer Eric Roth (Forrest Gump and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button).

Some funny news as Seth Rogen criticises Sony on Twitter!

Seth Rogen has criticised a new Sony Pictures initiative to make family friendly versions of its films available to viewers. Sony’s Clean Version initiative allows home entertainment customers to purchase films that have been edited for broadcast television and in-flight entertainment systems. Under the scheme, “scenes of graphic violence, offensive language, sexual innuendo and other adult content” will be censored or removed from some PG-13 and R-rated movies. So far, “clean versions” of 24 films, including Captain Phillips, Step Brothers and the Spider-Man movies, have been made available to purchase. 'Tomb Raider' Review: First Successful Game Adaptation! Kudos!

• Tomb Raider, 2018 • 7.9/10 • Alicia Vikander gives Lara depth and personality much like Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones. She's vulnerable, but she's also stubborn and focused to survive on her own and has never lost hope that she'll once again see her father. The story is built on the reboot of the video game series, but takes another way after the arrival at the destination where most of the action takes place. When the story follows the video game it has weaknesses (as so many games adaptations do), but when it stands on its own, it shows glimpses of coming adventures for Lara Croft that makes you want more -- much because of Vikanders grounded performance. The script is by no means perfect, the CGI was a bit spotty in places, and yes there are a few cliches and overused story devices here and there, but overall it is an enjoyable film and our first successful game adaptation! Yesss! P.S - Dominc West was the perfect choice for Mr. Croft!
