SUPERGIRL SEASON 3 HAVE FOUND THERE NEW BIG BADDIE!

Image
There’s a new baddie heading to National City according to deadline. "Pure Genius" star  Odette Annable has signed on for the series regular role of Reign in the upcoming third season of the CW’s Supergirl. The character is described as the big baddie of Season 3, part of an interpretation of the infamous World Killer storyline from the pages of the DC Comics. Though the character is based on the comics, the costume for Annable’s TV character will be vastly different from the DC version. According to the DC Comics description, Reign was one of five Worldkillers created by Zor-El, who later came to regret his part in the creation of those blood-thirsty, super-powerful monsters. Reign and her partners survived Krypton, but her origin remained a mystery even to her. In the comics, Reign becomes an enemy of Supergirl when she arrives on Earth, with plans to conquer it. “Greg (Berlanti) and I have wanted to work with Odette for years,” said executive produ

CHECK OUT THE TRAILER FOR THE HILARIOUS HEIST FILM "LUCKY LOGAN" FEATURING A STAR-STUDDED CAST THAT INCLUDES CHANNING TATUM, ADAM DRIVER, DANIEL CRAIG, HILARY SWANK, SETH MCFARLANE AND MORE!!

Channing Tatum has reunited with his Magic Mike director, Steven Soderbergh, for a hilarious heist film featuring a star-studded cast that includes Daniel Craig. In the first trailer for Logan Lucky , which was released online on Sunday, May 28, Tatum plays Jimmy Logan, a construction worker who gets fired and then plans the perfect robbery with his one-armed bartender brother Clyde Logan (played by Adam Driver). But in order to pull off the robbery at the legendary Coca-Cola 600 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina (held each Memorial Day weekend), they need a little help from a criminal named Joe Bang (an American-accented Craig in a scene-stealing role). The tattooed, peroxided Bang is an expert at blowing up bank vaults; the only problem is he is “in-car-cer-ated.” So the pair come up with another cunning plan to break him out of prison. The film marks the end of Oceans 11 director Soderberg’s self-imposed retirement, and it has a similar feeling to the

AMC HAVE RELEASED SOME NEW IMAGES OF "PREACHER" ON HIS ROAD TRIP TO FIND GOD IN SEASON 2!

Image
We’re just shy a month away from season 2 of AMC’s divisive comic book adaptation of  Preacher,  and we have some new images (via  Screen Rant ) of the main cast out on their road trip to find God. The marketing for this season has been a little strange with some odd tonal shifts, but perhaps that means the tone of the series is in for a change too. Preacher was created by showrunners  Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg,  and  Seth Rogen  and stars  Dominic Cooper, Joseph Gilgun, Ruth Negga, Ian Colletti,  and  Graham McTavish . It will return to AMC on June 19th at 9:00 p.m. EST.

AMERICAN GODS SENSATIONAL EPISODE 4 REVIEW: GIT GONE!!

Image
★★★★★ Laura Moon has dominated the first season of American Gods without actually being on screen all that much. She was all Shadow wanted to have back when he got out of jail, and her phone calls clearly kept him going while in jail. The loss of his wife and best friend in the same moment of betrayal took away his post-jail life and put him directly into the service of Mr. Wednesday. Shadow's been consumed with Laura, and with his grief over her, this entire time clouding his judgement, but we haven't really heard or seen anything from her, aside from the occasional delusion. Or what might have been assumed to be a delusion. As it turns out, Laura Moon has been watching over Shadow this hole fu**ing time. Even now, after an affair, a horrible traffic accident, and death, Laura's still keeping an eye on her "puppy". Fortunately, it's not a literal eye, it's just a detatched arm, which she can easily sew back on by borrowing Audrey's arts and cr

SO SONY PICTURES HAVE CHOSEN THERE DRAKE AND ITS ONLY THERE SPIDER-MAN!

Image
The video game adaptation Uncharted has been in development at Sony Pictures for several long years now, as evidenced by this piece from MTV back in 2009 predicting that Nathan Drake could be played by Nathan Fillion. Mark Wahlberg might have come closer, but we heard about his departure in December. This week, we heard news that might explain why neither of these 40-something stars will be Nathan Drake (at least not in the first movie). Sony Pictures is going younger — much younger — and making the Uncharted movie a prequel showing how Nathan Drake became the adventurer we know from the games (similar to next year’s Tomb Raider movie, starring Alicia Vikander). We know that because Sony has cast 20-year-old Tom Holland, who is also starring in Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming this summer. Kudos to Sony, the kid has got mad skills, he would definetly fit the role of a young freerunning, explorer that has a nose for danger well. I guess it would almost be the same for him stun

THE CREATOR OF "HOUSE" BRINGS US A NEW SERIES STARRING "BATES MOTEL" STAR FREDDIE HIGHMORE IN "THE GOOD DOCTOR" ON ABC! NEWS AND TRAILER!

Image
Like sands in the hourglass, seeing Freddie Highmore play a role where there's a younger version of himself is a reminder of our impending mortality. Also, this premise — a doctor who uses his unique outlook on the world to assist in medical diagnoses — is a little reminder of “House,” but that makes a lot of sense when you see the title card with the phrase “FROM THE CREATOR OF HOUSE”. With the back half of the trailer bathed in import, it’s a serious trailer for a serious subject. The first glimpse of Highmore’s character hints that they’re toeing the line between presenting a thoughtful depiction of his condition and using his perceptive abilities as a kind of secret weapon. The trailer was gripping from start to finish, the first thing that caught my eye was how intriguing it was to see the very YOUNG and talented Freddie Highmore portraying a young man suffering from savant syndrome (a type of autism), the nervous ticks (remind me of Bates motel), the way he holds himsel

INTO THE BADLANDS SEASON 2 FINALE REVIEW: WOLF'S BREATH, DRAGON FIRE!

Image
★★★★★ For all of the cracked skulls, narrative twists, and mysterious flashbacks to training, the second season of  Into The Badlands  has always been about one thing and one thing only: the inevitable clash between ruthless killer with a heart of gold Sunny and his former trainer, master, and current baby-snatcher Quinn. Once an oppressed and controlled killer as part of Baron Quinn’s stable of Clippers, Sunny has been on his own for a while now. At the end of the season premiere, it was revealed that Veil and her new baby Henry were now with Quinn. Since then, he’s amassed a small army of followers dedicated to his cause, and Sunny has spent the season finding his way back to his true love and the son he’s never met. “Wolf’s Breath, Dragon Fire” is the punctuation to this feud, as Sunny is finally on his way to confronting Quinn at his stronghold. “The final battle is upon us,” says Quinn while cradling Henry in the creepiest way possible. You know how to tell that this f

AMERICAN GODS EPISODE 3 REVIEW: HEAD FULL OF SNOW!

Image
★★★★☆ Can you teach an old God new tricks? The central conceit of  American Gods  is the conflict between what was and what is. Specifically, the old gods squaring off against the new gods of the modern age. This episode was a lot more refreshing as it was nowhere near as confusing as the two that followed before. Mr. Wednesday is scheming something, and from all the talk from both sides, that seems to be a war. The combatants seem to be picking sides, and Shadow Moon is stranded in the middle of the thing, pulled from all sides by various urges. He's got new gods beating him up, he's got old gods playing games where his life is at stake, and his only friend is a con artist who may get him thrown back in jail before he can get his head smashed in by a giant sledgehammer. Wednesday's cons, as we've seen throughout the series, are relatively simple. He pretends to be a doddering old man. He sets up a pretty simple two-man con to “rob the bank” by pretending to b

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (2017): REVIEW!

Image
Director Bill Condon called the original Disney take on  Beauty And The Beast  a “perfect” film, in an interview with Den of geek back in 2015. It damn near is for my money too, and the economy, the storytelling and the richness it packs into less than an hour and a half is nothing short of spectacular. I really enjoyed Condon’s live action take on the story even more so as I got to watch it with my beauty. He firmly used the animated classic as its basis and heart, it runs to 129 minutes (including credits), and therein lie its inevitable problems. That a story that had been worked and trimmed and cut to just the right length is now a third longer again. The grumbles that follow are a consequence of that decision. However – and I say this as someone who nerdily adores the 1991 movie – Condon’s film is very good. Its decisions as to where to expand upon the source are intelligent, and whilst there’s occasionally a question answered that I didn’t think needed asking, there are

SENSE8 SEASON 3: WHERE THE F*** IS WOLFGANG? WHEN WILL WE SEE THE CLUSTER RETURN?

Never  one  to  disappoint,  Netflix  original  series  "Sense8"  came  back  with  a  second  season  that  had  fans  repeating  it  over  and  over  again  while  waiting  for  any  word  on  season  3 (yeah, me).  Although  season  2  ended  with  more  questions  than  answers,  the  next  season  is  sure  to  be  something  worth  waiting  for. "Sense8"  season  2  saw  a  lot  of  character  development.  Lito  (Miguel  Ángel  Silvestre)  found  the  will  to  be  brave  in  an  oppressive  world,  Wolfgang  (Max  Riemelt)  managed  to  keep  all  ther elationships  he  valued,  Sun  (Doona  Bae)  found  the  strength  to  turn  away  from  toxic  revenge,  Nomi  (Jamie  Clayton)  founda   family  when  she  least  expected  it,  Kala  (Tina  Desai)  started  to  realize  the  drawbacks  of  a  supposedly  perfect  marriage,  Riley  (Tuppence  Middleton)  learned  to  let  go  of  the  bitterness  of the  past  in  order  to  move  forward,  Capheus  (
