It just gets better and better: Quentin Tarantino and Leonardo Dicaprio took the stage together, Monday night at the Caesars Palace Colosseum to promote there upcoming flick 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' which will star Pitt Alongside Dicaprio and here's what they had to say: Tarantino: "Sony and myself will be coming to the theaters with the most exciting star dynamic since Paul Newman and Robert Redford," Tarantino said of DiCaprio and Pitt. "It's very hush-hush and top secret. But I can tell you that Once Upon a Time in Hollywood takes place in 1969, at the height of the counterculture hippie revolution and the height of new Hollywood. Street by street, block by block, we'll transform Los Angeles into the Hollywood of 1969." DiCaprio added: "It’s hard to speak about a film that we haven't done yet, but I’m incredibly excited…to work with Brad Pitt, and I think he’s going to transport us. I’m a huge fan of Singin' in the R...

Brad Pitt Has Joined Leo In Tarantino's 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood!'

Late last week, Tarantino finally revealed the title of his 9th film, and it’s a direct homage to Sergio Leone: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. This news also came with confirmation that Brad Pitt will be working alongside Leonardo DiCaprio as his co-star, DiCaprio will be playing former western TV star Rick Dalton, while Pitt will play his stunt double best friend Cliff Booth. The highly publicized connection to the summer of 1969 Manson murders is that Dalton’s next door neighbor is future victim Sharon Tate. Sony Pictures will release Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on August 9th, 2019, the 50th anniversary of the murder of Sharon Tate and her friends. These 3 all in the same room, god I need to find where there filming!

Quentin Tarantino May Of Found His Screenwriter For 'Star Trek!'

Image
It was only about a month ago that the spectacularly surprising news broke that Quentin Tarantino (Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained) was considering a Star Trek movie for what might be his last film before retirement (I swear I keep saying that alot recently). Most stories like this disappear before anything comes of it, but this one actually seems to have some traction. Tarantino met recently with a group of screenwriters to discuss his pitch (which reportedly involves time travel, obviously), and it appears that the frontrunner to land the job is Mark L. Smith. Smith’s previous credits include the epic Dicaprio led 'The Revenant', Joe Dante’s 'The Hole', and the 2007 “torture porn” release 'Vacancy', all of which line up with Tarantino’s stated intention of delivering the first-ever R-rated Star Trek movie. Ooohhh this is sounding rather promising!!

Quentin Tarantino + Star Trek = Holy Sh**balls!

Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino's proposed "Star Trek" movie is a go and it's reportedly intended to be rated R. Tarantino pitched his idea to J.J. Abrams and Paramount pictures for the next theatrical Star Trek with one main requirement, it has to be R-rated! Of course they accepted, who wouldn't? According to Deadline, if reports turn out to be true, the project would mark a first 'R-rated' movie for the Paramount Pictures franchise, boldly going where no Trekkie has gone before. The report also says screenwriters Mark L Smith, Lindsey Beer, and Drew Pearce are in the running to pen the script, with Smith as the apparent frontrunner. The plan is for Tarantino to direct. There have been 13 "Star Trek" movies thus far, beginning with 1979's "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" and most recently including a rebooted trilogy overseen by J.J. Abrams.

We now have a date for Tarantino's 9th film and it's not just any old date!!

Quentin Tarantino‘s next movie still doesn't have a title, but it does now have a release date and a rather interesting one at that. The film, which is set in Los Angeles in 1969 against the backdrop of the Manson Family murders, has been given a 2019 release date that suggests a certain amount of confidence from Sony. Tarantino’s untiled ninth movie will open on August 9, 2019. Honestly, you can tell a lot about a movie from its release date. In this case, August is a time when you open a movie that can’t hang in the initial onslaught of the summer, but is still big and accessible enough to stand tall during a season dominated by blockbusters. With a rumored budget of just under $100 million and a possible cast of movie stars, this release date is a very clear move – this is being positioned as a blockbuster and a moneymaker, not an awards darling (although Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds opened in August of 2009 and walked home with a handful of O...

Quentin Tarantino has finally let us know the premise of his ninth film!

As of yet we still don’t have a title for Quentin Tarantino‘s next project, but earlier this week, we finally learned its premise (possibly to stop people from calling it his “Charles Manson movie“). We also still don’t know who will play the two leads (though Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Tom Cruise are reportedly all possibilities), but we now know more about the characters they could play. The film will revolve around an actor who’s had some success in television, and is hoping to expand into movies, and he’s accompanied by his stunt double (who’s looking for the same thing). It’s all set in Hollywood in 1969 as the Manson Family and the murder of Sharon Tate (likely to be played by the beautifully talented Margot Robbie) take place concurrently. who's getting excited?
