'Venom' Gets It's New Trailer, And It Stars Venom, Finally!

Image
The new trailer was released as part of CinemaCon last night and follows reporter Eddie Brock (Hardy) as he investigates the ominous Life Foundation before he struggles with the Symbiote that eventually, as the trailer shows, turns him into the villainous Venom. Some gripping action scenes and high-octane stunts leave the audience wanting to see more, however, with a October 5 release date, fans have some time to wait before they can watch Tom Hardy’s Venom in all its glory on the big screen. Sidenote: Thank god for this new trailer, after the first teaser I wasn't to sure where it was headed, but this one seemed to retrace it's steps a little and explain itself! • Trailer Hype: 85% • Predicted Rating: 7.8/10 • Anticipation Levels: 79%

Kendrick Lamar To Produce And Curate The Soundtrack To 'Black Panther'

Image
Rapper Kendrick Lamar will produce and curate the soundtrack to the forthcoming Marvel movie Black Panther, having been personally selected by director Ryan Coogler. Lamar will “contribute [his] knowledge of producing sound and writing music”. The tracklist has not been revealed, but All the Stars, a new song by Lamar featuring R&B singer SZA, was released at the same time as the announcement, so make of that what you will. Coogler called Lamar “inspirational” and said his “artistic themes align with those we explore in the film”. Lamar is mostly known for his frank explorations of black identity, faith and the sociopolitical landscape in the US, so hopefully Coogler’s comments suggest that Black Panther might have a political bent. Epic!

'DareDevil' Season 3: Wilson Fisk Is Back And In Comic Book Style!

Image
DareDevil S3: Great News! I'm literally in my element right now! One of the biggest highlights of the last two series of Marvel’s Daredevil has definitely been Vincent D’Onofrio’s portrayal of Wilson Fisk, better known to fans as The Kingpin. Whilst D’Onofrio’s Fisk was definitely a great take on the character, he still wasn’t one hundred percent accurate to his appearance on the page. However some recent concept art for the upcoming third season of the Netflix show has revealed a much more comic accurate look at the character and it has me chomping at the bit! As you can see it features a Wilson Fisk torn almost directly from the comics in his classic white suit! Wow! Whilst it’s unknown if this will be the final look that they choose to go with in the third season, it would definitely be a treat for fans to see in live action (I'm relishing the thought). D’Onofrio has already teased us with a mind-blowing arc for his character in the season ...

Marvel and Hulu's 'Runaways' Episode 1, 2 and 3 Review: Brilliant way to start the series!

Image
8.6/10  Last night I started Marvel and Hulu's 'Runaways,' I have watched 3 episodes and I have nothing but good things to say thus far. Centering on a group of witty teens who learn they’re part of Something Bigger, and/or have superpowers. Not only are these teens special, but their parents — who, so far as anyone else knows, are just a group of particularly talented and wealthy innovators — are in fact part of a an evil-ass cult called 'Pride' and there harnessing some serious demonic shit to put toward their own nefarious ends. In the comics as soon as the kids come to the realisation of what there parents are up to, they almost immediately become the "Runaways" promised in the title, but, here the first 3 episodes are alot slower, which isn't a bad thing at all if your like me and you believe in character development. Hulu have done it the right way and given each character -- kids and parents -- room to grow into real characters that w...

'The Gifted' episode 4 review: 'eXit strategy'

Image
🌟 The Gifted 🌟 Episode 4 Review 🌟 eXit strategy 🌟 8.5/10 🌟 Marvel’s The Gifted hasn’t been one to shy away from politics, but, in ‘eXit strategy’ it’s the politics of war that are in the forefront, with multiple characters questioning whether their actions can be forgiven by the constraints of wartime. The primary mission this episode is to save Polaris and Reed, yet Reed can -- ironically -- thank Sentinel Services for his inclusion. 'eXit strategy' gives Reed a tougher judge in Polaris and reminds us that he persecuted Mutants for a living, so, he Definetly won't be getting off lightly. Will Reed be able to adapt as quickly as his wife did now that he's back in the fold. Well she had it a bit easier due to the fact she didn't persecute anyone, all she did was sit back in silence and rake in the profits, so that's nowhere near as bad, am I right? I will give her credit though, kate has stepped up to the plate and she's learning fast. In order...

What's your favourite Spidey this far?

Image
So, now I have done my list for all X-Men flicks, all films in the MCU, and now I have done my list of all 6 Spider-Man flicks, best to worst! 1) Spider-Man - 9/10 2) Spider-Man: Homecoming - 8.7/10 3) Spider-Man 2 - 8.4/10 4) The Amazing Spider-Man - 8.1/10 5) Spider-Man 3 - 7.5/10 6) The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - 7/10 The first Spider-Man was my fav, and that is all due to my favouirte Marvel villain to date! The Green Goblin! Played by none other than Willem Dafoe. He set a bar so high for all future villains and for me no-one has ever reached that level of villainism! I don't think I need to explain why Amazing Spider-Man 2 is bottom, it's just god awful! Do you concur? What would you change?

My List of all films in the MCU, best to worst!

Image
So, after seeing Thor: Ragnarok I thought that I would compile a list of all films in the MCU, best to worst! 1) Thor Ragnarok - 9.2 2) Guardians of The Galaxy 2 - 8.8/10 3) Spiderman Homecoming - 8.7/10 4) Captain America: Civil War - 8.6/10 5) Guardians of The Galaxy - 8.6/10 6) Captain America: The Winter Soldier - 8.5/10 7) Doctor Strange - 8.4/10 8) Ant-Man - 8.3/10 9) Iron-Man 1 - 8.3/10 10) The Avengers - 8.2/10 11) The Avengers: Age of Ultron - 8.1/10 12) Thor - 8.1/10 13) Captain America: The First Avenger - 7.7/10 14) Iron-Man 3 - 7.5/10 15) Thor: The Dark World - 7.5/10 16) Hulk (Edward Norton) - 7.3/10 17) Iron-Man 2 - 7.2/10 Thor (1, 2, 3) = 24.8/30, Cap (1, 2, 3) = 24.8/30, Iron-Man (1, 2, 3) = 23/30 GOTG (1, 2) = 17.4/20 By the looks of it, when Gaurdians brings out it's 3rd film it will then take the "total" lead, all it needs is a minimum of 7.5 rating from me, and come on we can't see it getting any less than at least an 8! :Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance' Review: Worst Marvel Movie No.3!

Image
🔥💀 Worst Marvel Movie No.3 🔥💀 Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance 🔥💀 Review 🔥💀 3.9/10 🔥💀 I don't get WTF was going through the minds of Marvel and Columbia Pictures when they decided to bring out a second Ghost Rider, I mean as if the first one wasn't that bad, right? There's some gleefully twisted stuff here (for those who like that kind of shit). Johnny tries to fight off the transformation to Ghost Rider, speeding down the street, screaming and cackling with the effort; he also magically switches from a flaming motorcycle to an enormous flaming crane in one shot (apparently it doesn't matter what vehicle he rides). For this sequel, the Ghost Rider franchise thought they would try clear there conscience and changed directors; then we got the demented team of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the boys behind Crank and Crank: High Voltage. The result is a slight improvement in style, but unfortunately, the movie still lags b...

'Ghost Rider' Review: The worst Marvel Movie No. 2! The fall of Nicholas Cage!

Image
Worst Marvel Movie No. 2 🔥💀 Ghost Rider 🔥💀 Review 🔥💀 3.7/10 🔥💀 The fall of Nicholas Cage... In my opinion this very movie destroyed Nicholas Cage's career, back in the late 80's right the way through to the early 2000's he starred in some brilliant films, such as; Con Air, The City Of Angels, The Rock, Face/Off, Leaving Las Vegas, Adaptation and Matchstick Men, I mean there's copious amounts of great films there, the latest of them all was 2003 (Machstick Men). Then we hit 2007 where he stars as Johnny Freaking Blaze in the Ghost Rider flick, dun, dun, dun.... Then it all starts to go downhill from there with films like; Bangkok Dangerous, Drive Angry, Season Of The Witch, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Stolen, Pay The Ghost, The Runner, seriously I'm not even done, there's so many more so I'm just going to stop, you get the picture, I hope. There were about 2 or 3 half decent films he has had since 2007 and that's; Bad Lieutenant (2009...

'Daredevil' Movie Review: The worst Marvel film ever!

Image
😈 My Worst Marvel Movie Ever 😈 Daredevil 😈 Review 😈 3/10 😈 Here lies the main reason as to why I fell out of favour with Ben Affleck. Ever since this film I have never been able to look at him the same, he killed my darling Daredevil with a horrendous performance and it took something spectacular for it to be revived (thank you Charlie Cox and Netflix). Let's face it he's a mediocre actor, always has been (Dogma, Good Will Hunting, Paycheck and many, many more) and always will be, (Runner Runner, Live By Night, Batman VS Superman) he use to be in Matt Damon's shadow now he's in Batman's. He has no substance what so ever and almost every role he has ever had is virtually the same, always rocking the same gormless look. Anyway enough of the Ben bashing, I digress... The fights are very good, but it's clear that's where most of the creative energy went in this movie. Affleck doesn't act very much, and if he did, most of it would be hidden by Mur...

'Thor: Ragnarok' Review: The funniest marvel film to date!

Image
Last night I went and watched Thor and his team of revengers as they try to save Asgard from Ragnarok! And, holy shit it was bloody epic, like Hulk raging fire epic, like poor dead Doug epic, like the Lord of thunder epic... There were so many wonderful things about this film, so, first and foremost I have to thank Taika Waititi for bringing us a Thor film that we have all been revelling to see, a Thor film that is worthy! The cast were all exceptional, Cate Blanchett was terrific as the goddess of death, Hela, I wasn't to sure on her at first but wow did she nail it. Chris Hemsworthy (pardon the pun) was the funniest he has ever been, Tom Hiddleston was brilliant yet again as the mischievous keniving Loki. I think Hulk had a bigger talking role than Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) in this one, and it was so freaking funny. Karl Urban, Jeff Goldbloom and Tessa Thompson We're all brilliant new additions to the flick, but, the unsung hero who had me in stitches every single ti...

'The Gifted' Episode 3 Review: Exodus!

Image
🌟The Gifted🌟Episode 3 Review🌟7.9/10🌟 This is the first episode in which i have started to get a little frustrated with The Gifted, there are still way too many characters for a show that’s so new. Between the mutant underground, Sentinel Services, and the Strucker family, the list goes on and on. That’s not even counting single character stories like Polaris, and the mysterious doctor who likes mutant siblings. There’s so much going on that the story is starting to move at an extremely sluggish pace. For whatever reason The Gifted feels the need to check in with every character, every episode thus far. For example, we got a scene with Polaris in which absolutely nothing happened. She just tried to use her powers and nearly had a seizure trying to do so. The scene was completely pointless and led to zilch plot movement. We could have been spending time developing the other stories in the episode. We followed two storys in this episode; we saw Reed Strucker trying to be ...

'The Gifted' Episode 2 Review: rX

Image
🌟The Gifted🌟Episode 2 Review🌟9.1/10🌟 The second episode of THE GIFTED was even better than its pilot. When Blink closed the portal and everyone got through (bar one), she went into having a series of seizures. These seizures caused her power to go haywire, constantly opening a portal to a particular road (what's the deal with this road? Hmmm). These seizures and the road were the source of this episode’s conflict. They needed to get her under control whilst not letting anyone through the portal from the other side. This is where that plot line splits. You had Kate Strucker and Eclipse going to get medication for Blink, while Laura had to do her best to keep the portal closed with her brother and Thunderbird. The other stories involved Strucker being detained by Sentinel Services and then Polaris’ time in jail. Because of the multiple story's some of these stories got the short end of the stick. For example, Polaris’ time in jail didn’t really do anything except sh...

Marvel's 'The New Mutants' has got it's official trailer and it's all out horror!

Image
HAPPY FRIDAY 13TH! To celebrate this glorious day I thought I would share the new trailer for Marvel's THE NEW MUTANTS which has only just been released! This is no normal superhero flick, this looks like an all out horror movie and I love it. It looks like the horror studio Blumhouse have made it not 20th Century Fox. I remember director Josh Boone saying it would be different to the other X-Men films, but holy hell not this different. It looks terrifying, I couldn't be more psyched after seeing this trailer, especially after seeing one of my favourites of Stranger Thing's (Charlie Heaton) and one of my favourites from GOT (Maisie Williams) coming together and becoming mutants. Anya Taylor-Joy, Henry Zaga, and Blu Hunt look great. Played to a creepy version of Pink Floyd's, We don't need no education, the sh** scary haunted asylum and creepy-ass nurse (Alice Braga) have my full attention! Why do we have to wait until April 13th!

'The Gifted' Pilot episode review: Great Start to Marvel/Fox's New series!

Image
🌟The Gifted🌟Pilot Review🌟9/10🌟Spoiler Free🌟 So last night I finally got around to seeing the pilot episode of Fox's The Gifted, here's how I'm feeling about it. Fox’s first broadcast X-Men series moves away from the core members of the X-Men and features lesser known mutants as we follow the Strucker family who become on the run from the government after the children start exhibiting super-powers but they can't do it alone! I love it all so far and no wonder why, just in the first episode we meet about 8 mutants and there awesome! We have mutants like Polaris, Blink, Thunderbird, Eclipse and more. What more could you ask for? Well the cast all seem great so far, easing into there roles at a fast pace and all meshing together nicely. It doesn't look cheap or cheesy like most shows you see using super abilities, which is no easy feat (to make it look real). Action, drama and great dialogue, it has it all. The plot seems strong and the hole score has got ...

'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Review: Clever, funny, and true to the Spider-Man spirit!

Image
🌟Spider-Man: Homecoming🌟Review🌟8.7/10🌟 Directed by Jon Watts Tom Holland stars as Spider-Man, alongside Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. Clever, funny, and true to the Spider-Man spirit, this take on everyone's favorite web-slinger is utterly entertaining. The world was understandably optimstic of yet another Spidey reboot, but in this case, it was definitely the right call. Even more than the Toby Maguire and much more than the Andrew Garfield takes on the wall crawler -- as good as those were -- Spider-Man: Homecoming really captures the tone of the teenage side of it. A large part of that is thanks to the fact that, for the first time on the big screen, Peter is being played by an actual teenager. Holland is believably eager, gawky, and geeky as Peter, who's almost as excited to work on Ned's Lego Death Star as he is to fight the real bad guys. Also, because it's (mercifully) not an origin...
