KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES: ANOTHER SORELY UNDERRATED COMEDY OF 2016 YOU MUST SEE!!

Image
Keeping up with the Joneses:  Here we go again another very harshly rated comedy, what do people have to do nowadays to get good ratings for a comedy, well I think we all know, I mean if an avenger swooped in, or the death star appeared in the sky the ratings would skyrocket, I just don't understand it. Who doesn't want to enjoy a chirpy, quirky laugh with the family as after alone they make these films for our enjoyment (after the £££). This is a very satisfyingly irreverent action comedy is just what the doctor ordered for viewers for longing for a fun escape. Fisher and Galifianakis are pitch-perfect as parents who find themselves with too much time on their hands after the kids are shipped away to camp. And they then wind up feeling less than perfect after meeting their new, more sophisticated neighbors. Gadot and Hamm complete the strong quartet of stars; their characters have an entertaining, if a bit predictable, storyline. What elevates  Keeping Up with the Jone

SHERLOCK SEASON 4: TEASES US WITH MORIARTY'S RETURN IN NEW PROMO!

Image
Here's the latest update on one of my favourite shows BBC’s  Sherlock, we  have become used to the long gaps between seasons that are due largely to the difficulties of getting the show’s stars and creative team back together at the same time – with both Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch’s star power having significantly increased since the series first began. Luckily, their wait is almost over with the series set to return with its fourth season on January 1st, catching back up with Sherlock and Watson as they’re back at it, solving crimes throughout London while also facing off against a new villain… and welcoming in a small new addition to their team. One of the biggest questions going into  Sherlock  season 4, really ever since the third season’s finale cliffhanger, and especially since the ending of last year’s Christmas special, is what role Andrew Scott’s Moriarty will be playing throughout the season. Indeed, it seems like the beloved villain has some big plans in

KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS: THE BEST ANIMATION OF 2016!

Image
The world of animated features occasionally feels homogenous, filled with films cut from the same, Pixar-infused cloth and produced for the same audience — even when they are excellent movies deserving of the accolades they receive. And then there’s Laika, the studio responsible for such wonderfully quirky, awesome stop-motion animated films such as 2009’s  Coraline  (an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s story of the same name), the criminally under-appreciated  ParaNorman,  and  The Boxtrolls . All three films earned the studio well-deserved Academy Award nominations. And then the studio brought its latest film to theaters,  Kubo and the Two Strings  – and it has to be Laika’s best feature so far. Kubo and the Two Strings  follows a magnificent young boy named Kubo (Art Parkinson) in ancient Japan with a gift for storytelling. When his mysterious past comes back to threaten everything he holds dear, he’s forced to embark on a magical quest to recover a powerful set of armor and de

NOCTURNAL ANIMALS REVIEW - TOM FORD IS BACK WITH AN ABSURD GRIPPING REVENGE TALE! MUST SEE!

Image
There’s a double-shot of horror and despair in this outrageously gripping and absorbing mystery-thriller from fashion designer turned film director Tom Ford, adapted by him from the 1993 novel Tony and Susan by Austin Wright. It’s a movie with an exceptionally clever double-stranded narrative – a story about a fictional story which runs alongside – and it pulls off the considerable trick of making you care about both equally. Ford has surely raised his game from his faintly wan and over-determined drama A Single Man from 2009. There is something much more uninhibited and even raucous about this picture, which combines melodrama with a kind of teasing sophistication. I mean it's just subliminal. The scene is Los Angeles where Susan (Amy Adams) is a successful gallery owner who appears to specialise in shocking and provocative kind of cringy pieces – and if I have a quarrel with the movie (a quarrel I’m setting aside because of how much satisfaction the film gave me) it

'SENSE8' SEASON 2 NEWS AND CHRISTMAS SPECIAL RUNDOWN: SUN SET TO BREAK OUT OF PRISON!

Image
"Sense8" recently dropped a Christmas special episode prior to the release of episodes for Season 2 on Netflix. While the said episode was easily enough to excite fans and viewers, it also raised a lot of questions among viewers of the sci-fi drama. Including if we Will finally see Sun breaking out of prison? Be warned this article contains spoilers. Continue reading if you wish to learn more about the story. "Sense8" Season 2 is still a couple of months away from its release on Netflix (May 5th). While the release of new episodes is enough to make a lot of viewers impatient as after all we did have to wait about a year to see the sci-fi dramas recently released two-hour Christmas special to keep us viewers tuned in for the upcoming episodes. The "Sense8" Christmas special revealed that Will was heavily dosing on heroin in order to keep himself free from Whispers. Nomi also seemed to be on the run from the BPO. The special episode also introdu

'ALIEN: COVENANT' NEW PHOTOS: EVERYONE LOOKS PETRIFIED!!

Image
Sorry I've been away, Christmas is time for family as we all know and sometimes gifts, gifts don't hurt and here is one of the best gifts the world could receive this year which came from 20th century Fox in the form of the  Alien: Covenant  trailer, and judging by the reactions, it’s exactly what us fans were hoping for: a creepy, disgusting, flat-out terrifying return to form for the  Alien  franchise after Prometheus . Even better,  that trailer  was just the start of it, as the  Alien: Covenant  marketing campaign is the gift that keeps on giving. Today, Fox has come back with more  Alien -themed treats in the form of three new official photos from  Covenant .  First up, we’ve got a behind-the-scenes photo of director  Ridley Scott  talking to star  Jussie Smollett . H is character seems to work closely with the pilot played by  Danny McBride . The two are close enough for McBride to crack risqué jokes about Smollett’s wife and the like (though it’s not as clear

ALIEN COVENANT TO DROP TRAILER ON CHRISTMAS DAY AND HERE IS THE TEASER!! FINALLY!!

Image
While a lot of people are excited for Christmas Day for many a reasons, I’m about to give you one more and it's a big one: Fox is releasing the first  Alien: Covenant  trailer tomorrow for  Ridley   Scott’s   Prometheus  sequel! The news of the trailer dropping was announced on social media via a 15 second tease of a exonomorph egg hatching which I have for you below. While some trailer teasers show footage from the upcoming trailer, this isn’t one of them. Too often Hollywood releases a trailer that spells out the entire film and you can pretty much guess every twist and turn. You know what the  Alien: Covenant  trailer is going to tell us is A. Get ready to be scared and B. This is not going to be a PG- movie. This is what Michael Fassbender had to say about the film back in the summer: “This Alien is going to be… I’m very excited to see it and everybody in the film was saying this is a film that we all want to see. It’s much scarier than  Prometheus but it’s got t

MY TOP MOVIE SELECTIONS FOR 2017 YOU NEED TO SEE IN CINEMAS!!

Image
The coming year's superhero offerings will see Hugh Jackman back tearing shit up as Wolverine in  Logan , a second "volume" of  Guardians of the Galaxy  and Tom Holland making his full web-slinging debut in  Spider-Man: Homecoming . Gal Gadot, meanwhile, will be seen as  Wonder Woman  in both a World War I-set solo vehicle and alongside Ben Affleck's Batman in  Justice League , DC Comics' riposte to Marvel's all-conquering Avengers films. Two of those very Avengers, Thor and The Hulk, will team up in an epic   Thor: Ragnarok , while the Caped Crusader will also be seen in   The Lego Batman Movie . There'll also be a double helping of monkey business in  Kong: Skull Island  and  War for the Planet of the Apes , more Captain Jack in  Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge  and more acid-blooded xenomorphs in what is probably my most anticipated film of 2017  Alien: Covenant . (Where is the trailer dude's?). British cinema is als

FULL 'JUSTICE LEAGUE' CAST REVEALED!!

Image
The upcoming “ Justice League ” movie will include   Jesse Eisenberg   as Lex Luthor, and   Connie Nielsen   as Queen Hippolyta, a press kit sent out by Warner Bros. on Friday confirmed. Both had been rumored to be included in the studio’s DC superhero tentpole. Eisenberg had said previously that he would appear in “Justice League,” which opens Nov. 17, 2017. He played the villain in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” In “Justice League,” Nielsen will be reprising her role from the upcoming “Wonder Woman” stand-alone film, which opens in June and stars Gal Gadot. Warner Bros. had announced in June that the cast would feature Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher. Zack Snyder began shooting “Justice League” in April from a script by Chris Terrio with Amy Adams, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J. K. Simmons and Willem Dafoe also starring. Which is an epic cast in itself. “Batman v Superman,” starring Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill a

CHECK OUT THE TALKING POOP IN THE FIRST TEASER TRAILER FOR "THE EMOJI MOVIE"!!

Image
When it was first announced, I thought Sony where taking the mick with "The Emoji Movie" — the inevitable apex of big budget studio movies based on products least likely to inspire a feature-length movie. But Sony Pictures Animation has followed through on its threat to wreak havoc with an animated adventure featuring a walking and talking poop emoji, and we have the first teaser trailer to prove it. Oh boy, where to begin with this crazy idea. This teaser trailer, as you can see, is optimized for mobile viewing because, well,  obviously . The first full trailer will roll out in theaters nationwide on Wednesday, when we’ll presumably get to spend a little more time getting to know some of these emoji characters, like Hi-5 (voiced by James Corden) and Jailbreak (voiced by  Broad City ’s Ilana Glazer.  At the heart of this story, which sounds a bit like   The LEGO Movie   (and can you blame Sony for trying to cash-in on  that  concept?), is Gene, an emoji who was never

'EMERALD CITY' TRAILER: OZ IS DARK AND FULL OF TERRORS IN NEW SERIES!!

Image
What do you get when you mix  Game of Thrones  and  The Wizard of Oz ?  Emerald City , a new NBC series loosely inspired by the storybook classic. As shown in the first trailer, the famous Yellow Brick Road is still glistening, but the rest of Oz is dark and full of terrors. The basic premise is still the same, but with a lot of differences: a 20-something girl named Dorothy ( Adria Arjona ) and her dog are caught in a twister that ravages her home in Kansas. They awake in the wonderful land of Oz, where they encounter all manner of creature. Instead of Terrier, Toto is a German Shepherd. Instead of the Lolly Pop Guild, these “munchkins” have more in common with the Wildlings. Instead of a house, Dorothy drops a police car on the Wicked Witch of the East. Instead of a brainless Scarecrow, she encounters a beefed up soldier whose been left crucified in a field with no memory of who he is. (Yes, it’s that serious.) The list goes on, but for as wacky and wild as this sounds, the
