'Godzilla: King of The Monsters' promo teases the giant 'Mothra' and it looks epic!
With the release of Kong: Skull Island on Blu-ray, Warner Bros. is ramping up the promotion for their next monster mash-up, Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film doesn’t come out for another 2 years, so that’s plenty of time to drop little hints about the upcoming film, including ones relating to all the new monsters the big lizard will face.
The Twitter page for Monarch (the secretive organization that deals in the existence of taller-than-average animals) recently dropped a little tease for one of ‘Zillas most iconic foes/allies – Mothra.

The winged beast first made an appearance in its own movie Mothra in 1961, before being featured in a crossover with Godzilla in 1964’s Mothra vs Godzilla. Mothra fought Godzilla when the latter attacked Japan, making the former the hero of the tale that time round. The monster stands as one of the most popular in the genre and has been featured in numerous Godzilla films over the years. In King of the Monsters, Godzilla will have another battle with the creature, along with Rodan and Ghidorah.
The tease looks like some sort of etching in stone, and anyone who stayed after the credits in Kong already saw something similar to this, as well as for Rodan and Ghidorah. But this picture is clearer and gives a better sense of where the design is headed. Chances are we will see more teasers like this for the other two monsters within the next two years.
