Randall Park lands huge SHIELD role in Marvels 'Ant-man and the Wasp'. Guess who?

One thing that's been missing from the last few Marvel Cinematic Universe movies is the not so-secret organisation SHIELD. Sure, they've got their own TV show now but it did give the films some grounding, in a weird way.

It looks like the suited and booted lovers of acronyms could be returning, if the latest casting for Ant-Man & The Wasp is anything to go by: Fresh Off the Boat/The Interview star Randall Park in the role of Jimmy Woo according to ScreenRant.

Woo has been in Marvel Comics since the 1950s, earning the company praise for their positive handling of an Asian character. Although he mostly does all that typical secret agent stuff, he has been known to be part of a group that hunts down legendary kaiju Godzilla just for kicks.

Ant-Man and the Wasp could be adding further MCU connections with a cameo from everyone's favourite archer.

The film began shooting very recently in Atlanta, even though we still don't know what it's about.

Actor David Dastmalchian is very impressed with what he's seen so far, however, stating: "I can say Ant-Man and The Wasp is going to do things in the Marvel universe that they haven't gotten an opportunity to do yet.

"I just got some tidbits the other day and they're mind-blowing."

Ant-Man and the Wasp is released in UK cinemas on June 29, 2018 and US cinemas on July 6, 2018.
