'Mindhunter' Season 1 Episode 1 Review: Welcome to the glorious mind of David Fincher!
🌟Mindhunter🌟Episode 1 Review🌟10/10🌟
Were taken back to the late seventies in this brilliant crime drama Mindhunter, the decade of severe industrial action and political corruption.
Mindhunter revolves around FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), who interview imprisoned serial killers in order to understand how such criminals think and apply this knowledge to solving ongoing cases.
The series is loosely based around one of the most influential crimefighters around, John Douglas. He spent most of his life going round interviewing some of the most brutal serial killers known to man to gauge there motives; not only to find out why they did it, but also why they did it the way they did. In this series our John Douglas is Holden Ford a super-eager, highly intelligent, hostage negotiator/criminal profiler. In the beginning of the first episode he starts off teaching hostage negotiation to upcoming feds which then takes him on the road to where he will start his long journey through struggle and torture to get where he wants to be and do what he wants to do.
This show is very intelligent, well written, and sublimely directed. It has a real cinema/movie feel to it, great cast and characters and the plot is superb. I really can't wait to see where we end up, but most of all I can't wait to see McCallany and Groff's partnership/chemistry grow! For those who felt like giving up on crime/drama's check this out! Great reviews everywhere!
