🌟Goodfellas🌟Review🌟10/10🌟My 5 10/10 Movies Review week🌟
Directed by Martin Scorsese
Starring: Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci
The film narrates the rise and fall of mob associate Henry Hill (Ray Liotta) and his friends (Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci) over a period from 1955 to 1980.
Martin Scorsese'sGoodfellas, is a classic. From start to finish, it's full of brutal violence, cruel characters, and very strong language.
This classic tale of mob life in New York City is a stunning, vivid look at the ugliness and depravity of a subculture that’s been glamorized, sanitized, and romanticized in countless other films before and after. This is the real deal. Nothing prepares an audience for the raw amorality and insanity of this crew. No movie has better shown how the "goodfellas" create a community wholly isolated from the rest of society by its own warped values and staggeringly amoral code. In scene after scene, Scorsese and his team bring this evil to life.
Joe Pesci is my favourite in the film, he's just class and the hole mob thing suits him to a tee the hole greedy, no fucks given attitude is just brilliant. I swear that's what he's been doing since Goodfellas, staying in character all of his life waiting for this moment to reveal his true self once more in Martin Scorsese's upcoming film The Irishman. De Niro is sensational as always but his best work always seems to come under Scorsese (Taxi Driver, Goodfellas). Probably the best role Ray Liotta has ever had and killed. He was the spine of this story and couldn't of given more to this performance.
