NEW 'LEGION' PROMO OFFERS HELPFUL ADVICE FOR DEALING WITH VOICES IN YOUR HEAD!
So I'm super excited for this TV series and can't stop talking about it in every which way, and the latest promo for me to talk about is for FX’s upcoming X-Men-inspired drama series “Legion” adds more disjointed and mind-bending imagery to the show’s promotional blitz. Like previous first looks and promos, this one presents information about the series in a unique way. As images from the upcoming show flicker in and out, a voice (accompanied by text on the screen) offers helpful advice to a patient — presumably David (Dan Stevens).
The show’s main character, David Haller, was first introduced in 1985 in Marvel’s “New Mutants” #25 as a young man with dissociative identity disorder whose personas each control one of his several mutant abilities. According to the show’s official description, “Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.”
Starring Dan Stevens, Aubrey Plaza, Katie Aselton, Jeremie Harris, Bill Irwin, Rachel Keller and Amber Midthunder, season one of “Legion,” will consist of eight episodes and debuts February 9 on FOX in U.K. and 8 on FX in U.S.
