RELEASE DATE SET FOR A FOURTH 'PURGE'!


According to Deadline, Universal, Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes are moving forward with a fourth film in its horror franchise “The Purge”.
Franchise creator James DeMonaco is writing the new film, but unlike the previous ones he won’t direct again. He will help the producers find another helmer.
The plot and concept for the new pic are under wraps but with ‘Election Year’ effectively killing off The Purge in story continuity, it could go in several directions. A July 4th 2018 release date has been set.
I love a good purge!

• There Will Be Blood, 2007 • 8.2/10 • Firstly, I would like to start with Daniel Day Lewis' mesmerizing performance as the ruthless oil prospector, Daniel Plainview. The scumbag cons local landowners into selling their valuable land for pittance, and then he comes along like a "straw" and "sucks it all up," leaving him very wealthy and everyone else in his way. Paul Dano, Wow, do you really expect anything less than magic when it comes to him acting, he's a true tour de force. I wish we had preachers like Eli Sunday up at my local church. Johnny Greenwood's score is brilliant, it really gets under your skin, you then combine that with the gorgeous cinematography, smart screenplay and the brilliant acting, you then have yourself a film where even if your not paying complete attention, you will still hate the lead by the end, all the same! 13 HOURS: THE SECRET SOLDIER'S OF BENGHAZI REVIEW - MICHAEL BAY SUCCEEDS IN KILLING ANOTHER FILM!!

13 Hours  is very much business as usual for Bay; a barrage of noisy and largely indistinct action, most notable for an ADHD visual style that marries the silly viewpoint of a supercharged drone like a transformer for example with the editing rhythm of a Slipknot drum solo. I went into the film knowing almost nothing about the September 2012 attack on an American diplomatic compound in Libya and came out pretty much knowing even less. For the most part, Bay seemed to be aiming for the nihilism of Ridley Scott’s  Black Hawk Down,  which effectively conveyed the chaos of its real-life subject matter. Yet the chaos of 13 Hours has more to do with form than content, leaving you with the impression that it’s not story but Bay’s moviemaking that is just absolutely dire.
