'Black Panther' Review: Coogler Brings Out The Best In Jordan!
⭐ Black Panther ⭐ Review ⭐ 8.7/10 ⭐
Ryan Cooglers third outing In the directors chair is masterful. Black Panther is unlike any other superhero flick, featuring outstanding acting, breathtaking art direction, memorable action sequences and surprising depth. It's that depth (of character, storyline and relevancy) that makes Black Panther excel.
Boseman proves yet again why he is the Perfect Black Panther and the true king of Wakanda with a sterling performance, he is backed up mostly by a female cast; ass-kicking bodyguard Okoye (Danai Gurira), ex girlfriend Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o), his mother Ramonda (Angela Bassett), and his genius younger sister, scientist/tech inventor Shuri (Letitia Wright). Each of them contributes much to the story, with Gurira's spear-wielding Okoye the movie's clear scene-stealer!
Both villains were impressive, Andy Serkis was hilarious, he brought a much needed dose of humour and ultimately introduced us to the main man himself, Michael B. Jordan, who absolutely tore shit up as Erik Killmonger, definetly one of my favourite villains in the mcu thus far, Coogler must really know what buttons to push because everytime they work together, Jordan is just impeccable, on another level, especially the emotion he brings to the role (much like Fruitvale Station).
I also loved the cinematography and score, the only problem I really had, was it was a little to long, should of shaved 20 minutes off and it still would of covered everything, other than that, you can see why it's breaking records!
