Four Films You Need To See On The Big Screen This April!
1) Avengers: Infinity War
War is coming. But don’t worry; just about every single character to strap on spandex is down for the challenge. As are Anthony and Joe Russo, who brought us Captain Americas: Civil War and Winter Soldier. Word to the wise: spring for the refillable popcorn. This one’s longer than two and a half hours. (27th April)
2) A Quiet Place
It was only a matter of time before Hollywood’s sweethearts starred in a film together. John Krasinski directs and stars opposite his wife, Emily Blunt, in a supernatural thriller about a family who must stay quiet to avoid a force that attacks at any sound. Blunt’s character can’t scream, but you sure can. (2nd April)
3)You Were Never Really Here
Things get violent—like, ball-peen hammer to the head violent—in Lynne Ramsay’s sadistic Cannes winner. The epic Joaquin Phoenix stars as a veteran killer for hire whose most recent job causes him to become, let’s say, unhinged. (Out Now)
4) Wildling
It’s been many moons since a truly decent werewolf movie had us going wild. Maybe even since Ginger Snaps 2 in 2004. So, to Bel Powley’s beast-mode nightmare fantasy, about a blossoming teen who fears a child-eating forest monster, we say, “My, what a great addition to the genre you are!” (13th April)
