'A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS' SEASON REVIEW AND NEWS ON FUTURE!!

A Series of unfortunate events was a huge hit and no wander why. If you ever read the books then you would be especially satisfied to know that they kept the series so close to the books. Netflix have split the series in to 8 episodes a series with 2 episodes a book, so we had just 4 books in the first series and there is 12 in the collection, so because they have stayed so loyal to the books us fans know we have at least another 3 series to go.

The first 8 episodes cover 'The bad beginning', 'The reptile room', 'The wide window' and last but not least ' The miserable mill'. Through out these episodes we unfortunately have to bare witness to the many horrors that unfold to the poor young Baudelaire children. So if you haven't got the stomach for story's that include a plot to steal there fortune, a disastrous fire, hungry leeches, a horrid villain called Stefano, and a splash of hypnotism and that's not the half of it.

NPH is phenomenal every scene he makes his presence known, The actor's theater experience really shines through in the series, and he brings the perfect level of hilarity and villainy to the character that fans of the books will appreciate. Each disguise he uses weirdly suits him sometimes to well. The theme song is amazing and they change it every 2 episodes for each part, it's bloody awesome.

Then there is the wonderful Violet and Klaus. (Don't get me wrong, Sunny is insanely cute, but as a baby, her acting is currently restricted.) Malina Weissman gave a spectacular performance as Violet and brings a spark of intuition and high level intellect to top what the character already had, but for me Klaus The middle Baudelaire child who is played by the very young Louis Hynes is the star of the show.

Hynes is fairly new to the small screen. A Series of Unfortunate Events is only the second show he's ever been on and it's his first staring role. Prior to the Netflix show, Hynes was on the History Channel's docudrama Barbarians Rising as the young Alaric for two episodes last year. After his work on A Series of Unfortunate Events, though, it won't be surprising if we start seeing a lot more of Hynes in the near future. The young actor makes for an excellent Klaus who's known in the books for his love of reading and his glasses. Hynes has perfected the look of Klaus and the ability to quote information from the many non-fiction books he's read verbatim while using his matter-of-fact tone of speaking.

Then Cue chaos, mayhem, and the wry narration of Lemony Snicket himself (Patrick Warburton), who also occasionally shows up in the background of the action to deliver grave warnings about how horrible everything is and also pops up to explain some definitions of words like the meaning of literally and figuratively which Count Olaf doesn't seem to get.

We can't forget the spectacular supporting cast who without, the show wouldn't of been the same they include the likes of the hilarious Usman Ally as Fernald, Joan Cusack as Justice Strauss, Aasif Mandui as Uncle Monty and last but not least The Cough cough cough, brilliant K. Todd Freeman as the bloody annoying Arthur Poe.

So All in all it is such a brilliant series, i have been such a huge fan for over 10 years now and will definitely continue to be, the series is so much better than the film and now just as good as the books, if you haven't seen it get around to seeing it you won't regret it. 10/10.
