WHO NEW MUTANTS COULD BE FACING IN UPCOMING MOVIE

The New Mutants are an unproven property. Though Fox has cranked out numerous different X-Men movies (and Wolverine spinoffs), the young mutants from Marvel's stable of superheroes haven't had a shot at big-screen success just yet. But they'll get their chance soon enough, and a source might have just revealed who the team could possibly fight.
ComingSoon is reporting that the villain Demon Bear will be the main antagonist in Josh Boone's planned series launcher, though the movie doesn't yet have its own confirmed release date but all things in due time. If you didn't read the New Mutants comics, you might not know that Demon Bear made its debut in New Mutants #3 (released in May 1983), and as you might expect from the name, it's a giant aweome bear creature who derives the majority of its power from negative energies(And there's always a lot of that about). In the comics, he looks like this...

The Demon Bear has possessed various members of the New Mutants team in the old comic book stories, from all sorts like Moonstar to Warpath and also Bishop (who appeared briefly in X-Men: Days of Future Past). This could hint at the lineup of the New Mutants movie, ComingSoon is also reporting that Nat Wolff, who starred in Josh Boone's The Fault in Our Stars, could possibly be playing Cannonball in the movie, Which would be a good little coup for him.

This is also interesting: ComingSoon is reporting that instead of sticking to the traditional X-Men mold, New Mutants will be a "Stephen King meets John Hughes" type horror teen movie, which has the site comparing it to Netflix's Stranger Things 🙌🙌. Bye the sounds of it it is going to be epic and I'm especially game  for the stranger things comparison but we will see.
But when might we see this movie? Fox doesn't have a traditional X-Men movie in tap at the moment, there instead focusing on Logan and Deadpool 2. Could New Mutants be programmed in for November 2, 2018? Josh Boone has been very busy working on it, sharing his progress on Instagram, so we know it's farther along than Channing Tatum's Gambit, which is ltetry much nowhere with no director. So all in all are you excited for Demon Bear? #CAF #MsaNewsandViews
