If there's one thing you can tell from the new posters for anime adaptation  Ghost In The Shell , it's that  Scarlett Johansson  will leap through things a lot. If there's one other thing, it's that robo-geishas look pretty damn terrifying up close. Johansson's character is The Major is a sleek, sophisticated, powerful cyborg enforcer constructed and employed by Hanka Robotics to track down those who would attack the company's technological assets. Prime among the threats is a mysterious hacker known as The Laughing Man, who has been upping his game in terms of killing and spreading mayhem, so he's top of The Major's hit list, leading her team (Section 9) to track him down. But all might not quite be as it appears, and our hero could have some revelations in her future, specifically about her past... My Abandonment , a father-daughter story that stars  Hell or High Water ‘s sensational Ben Foster and newcomer  Thomasin McKenzie  from  Winter’s Bone  director  Debra Granik  just landed its financing from  Bron Creative  and  First Look Media  which will co-finance and executive produce the film. The new film is slated to start production in April in Portland, Oregon. My Abandonment   was adapted by Granik and Anne Rosellini from author Peter Rock’s novel of the same name. The story follows 13-year-old Caroline (McKenzie) and her father, Will (Foster), who are found living in Forest Park, a temperate rainforest abutting Portland, Oregon. When authorities pluck them from their hidden world, where they lived peacefully and practically, Caroline and Will must embark on an increasingly erratic journey in search of a place to call their own. Brilliant news has just come from deadline:  Misfits and Game of Thrones  alum  Iwan Rheon  has been cast in a lead role of Maximus in  ABC ’s live-action series  Marvel’s Inhumans . “Iwan’s ability to be charming, roguish and still completely unexpectedly dangerous were all the different sides we needed to bring the character to life,” said Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television and executive producer of  Inhumans . “We’re thrilled to have him on board.” As previously announced, the first two episodes of the ABC series, on which Scott Buck serves as executive producer and showrunner, will premiere exclusively in Imax theaters for a two-week window in September, prior to the network run. You have probably, actually most definitely already heard that Filming on the as yet untitled Han Solo movie is now well under way, and Disney has released a picture to prove it on the official Star Wars site. This first look at the  Star Wars  spin-off movie features key cast members Woody Harrelson,  Fleabag  star Phoebe Waller-Bridge,  Game of Thrones ' Emilia Clarke and Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino – with Alden Ehrenreich as a young Han himself, and Joonas Suotamo (who was a body double for Peter Mayhew on  The Force Awakens ) taking on the role of Chewbacca. They're pictured with directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller on set in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. OMG! Lord and Miller are best know for heading up  The Lego Movie  and the  21 Jump Street  films, so there's every chance this'll have the cheeky sense of humour we'd expect from a Solo solo outing. Ryan Gosling ’s next film,  Song to Song , once again puts his singing skills and his slick moves front and center. Written and directed by  Terrence Malick ,  Song to Song  stars the  La La Land  actor opposite Rooney Mara in a modern love story set against the Austin, Texas music scene. Keanu Reeves is still out doing promotional rounds for the “John Wick” sequel and, in a new interview over here in the UK with Yahoo, was asked about whether he’d be interested in returning to the Matrix franchise. Reeves was apparently non-committal and so was asked what it would take to get him involved and this is what he had to say: “The Wachowskis would have to be involved. They would have to write it and direct it. And then we’d see what the story is, but yeah, I dunno, that’d be weird, but why not? People die, stories don’t, people in stories don’t.” So come on Wachowskis get writing if you already haven't! In probably the best role Keanu has played ( up until John Wick) “The Matrix” trilogy ran from 1999-2003 and, though costly to produce at $363 million, was a massive success with $1.63 billion in box-office alone along with huge success on home video.
