HERE'S YOUR NETF(L)IX FOR APRIL! ALL NEW LIST OF MOVIES AND T.V SERIES!

Image
March came in like a hurricane taking the world of movies by storm. The month roared. It thrust movies like Jordan Peeles 'Get Out,' 'Kong: Skull Island,' 'Logan,' in our patching and don't forget 'Power Rangers' COMING SOON. In terms of Netflix, March gifted us with some truly leonine material. Case in point: The month saw the release of not one, but three Jurassic Park movies. And now, it's heading out like a lamb, shuffling meekly out the rainy door. With it, Netflix is gifting us its usual refresh of streaming content. Not all of it is lamblike, though — the new releases include both lighthearted fare and offerings with some gravitas. Nevertheless, there will be a spring — get it? — in your watchlist. The monthly molting brings with it silliness like Secret Life of Pets and Tropic Thunder. April is also chock-full of sweet Netflix Originals, like the highly anticipated documentary Casting JonBenet or Dear Whi...

WHAT WE CAN EXPECT FROM SONY'S UPCOMING 'VENOM' MOVIE!

Image
If only Life, Sony’s forthcoming science-fiction thriller about the discovery of a dangerous new alien, really were a prequel to Venom (that would be epic), the studio’s latest attempt at bringing Spider-Man’s extraterrestrial nemesis back to the big screen.  This tantalising fan theory  – which cropped up on Reddit has been  dismissed out of hand , but it goes to show how much of an appetite there is for the concept of shared universes and linked movies.  10 Cloverfield Lane  got away with its slightly shonky sci-fi finale because the denouement proved it actually is a sequel to 2008’s  Cloverfield  (a third movie, God Particle, is set for release later this year), while  M Night Shyamalan’s Split  produced its own OMG moment when Bruce Willis popped up right at the end to prove the horror outing exists in the same universe as the film-maker’s 2000 movie  Unbreakable . The theory about Life was linked to the fact that Sony retain...

THE BEAST HIMSELF DONNIE YEN IS COMING BACK FOR 'IP MAN 4'

Image
The martial arts legend made this announcement six months ago, but if you’re a hardcore fan and missed it for some reason, then we’re here to remind you. First, we all tried to deal with closure when Yen announced that “IP Man 3” could be his last kongfu movie. The franchise that kicked off in 2008 was coming to its end seven years later, and all we can do was hope. Now that hope was worth it. On September 30, 2016, Yen himself  confirmed  through Facebook: “I want to share this very excit(ing) news with you all, my good friend Wilson Yip, who had directed all of my last three Ipman series, tonight, we have decided to reunite and continue to make our next project together, Ipman4! Yes I-P-M-A-N part 4!” The  Hong Kong star  did not reveal other details, so we’re yet to learn a release date. We can wait in peace! And for the uninitiated, Yen also  appeared  in “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon II”, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and “xXx: Retu...

BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH WILL DEFY TIME ONCE MORE IN HIS NEW FILM 'HOW TO STOP TIME'

Image
In Doctor Strange , Benedict Cumberbatch’s Marvel superhero learned how to defy the laws of nature by transcending both time and space, and for his newest project, he’s going to defy time once more as a man who doesn’t age.  Cumberbatch is  now attached to star  in StudioCanal’s  How to Stop Time , based on an upcoming novel (July, 2017) by Matt Haig, and his production company SunnyMarch is also coproducing. Cumberbatch will play “a man who may look like an ordinary 41-year-old but, owing to an extremely rare condition, has been alive for centuries…. [in] …a wildly imagined love story that spans centuries and continents.” How to Stop Time  doesn’t currently have a distribution deal in the United States, but it’s a Benedict Cumberbatch sci-fi romance…  somebody  will pick this movie up. The production also doesn’t have a screenwriter or director attached yet, so it’s probably at least a few years away from happening, too. But still something to ...

DEADPOOL 2: ACCORDING TO THE WRITERS THEY WILL BE ANNOUNCING THE CASTING OF CABLE SOON!

Image
It seems that since the very day  Deadpool  hit theaters rumors have been circulating about who would play Cable in the sequel. From big names like Russell Crowe to relative unknowns like  Stranger Things'  David Harbour, and superhero stalwarts like Michael Shannon, it seems like there's a new name tossed into the mix every day or so. Speaking to  Deadpool 's writer Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick at a press event for their upcoming film  Life , which reunites them with  Deadpool  star Ryan Reynolds, ComicBook.com learned that the list of actors in the running for Cable may be shorter than we'd been led to believe. "It's a short, short list," Reese said. "An announcement will be coming very soon," Wernick added. "We're gonna go into production in the next couple of months and cast announcements will be coming fast and furious." So It looks like it won't be too long until us crazed fans find out who the...

DANNY BOYLE WANTS A 'TRAINSPOTTING' SPINOFF OVER A THIRD FILM! BUT DOESN'T WANT TO DIRECT IT??

Image
Well, Dan ny Boyle   wants to see a third   Trainspotting   film (all us brits do), but he's choosing not to pursue that himself. The 1996 cult hit and the new sequel star Ewan McGregor, Jonny Lee Miller, Ewen Bremner and Robert Carlyle as former druggie pals Mark "Rent" Renton, Sick Boy, Spud and Begbie, respectively. The followup borrows from  Porno , also by  Trainspotting  author Irvine Welsh. Boyle told  The Hollywood Reporter  in an interview that another book of Welsh's has the potential to be turned into a third  Trainspotting  movie. "Irvine Welsh returns to these characters in many different ways, in a few different novels. They appear as casual characters in each others’ stories. In particular, Boyle recommended  The Blade Artist,  released last year and centering on the violent and volatile life of Begbie between the two films: living with his family in California as a sculptor. "It’s like a ...

HENRY CAVILL JOINS MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6 CAST! PLUS AN UPDATE FOR THE MAN OF STEEL SEQUEL!

Image
It’s hardly breaking news, but it’s worth noting that some of Hollywood’s biggest movie stars, dating all the way back to the likes of Charlie Chaplin and Cary Grant, are actually, you know, British.  Henry Cavill, who plays one of the pop culture icons that most represents “truth, justice and the American way” in movies, is among them, and his Hollywood presence expanded even more this week with the news that  he will join  the  Mission: Impossible  ensemble for the franchise’s sixth outing (alongside Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, and Jeremy Renner, all expected to return).  Cavill has played Superman in two movies thus far ( Man of Steel  and  Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ), and is expected to reprise the role in  Justice League .   Also it was reported that Warner Bros’ top choice to direct the  Man of Steel  sequel  is Matthew Vaughn , the British former producing associ...
